Your expertise beats technical skill

Harvard Business Review is predicting that AI Agent Manager will be a standard job title at every major company within 12 to 18 months.
Salesforce, JP Morgan, and Walmart are already hiring for it.
The job: figure out which tasks should be handled by AI agents, set those agents up, and manage how they perform. Project management, but instead of managing people, you're managing AI.
Harvard's key finding is worth noting: being great at your existing job matters more than being technical when it comes to this role.
I'd agree. If you know your work and you know how to use AI tools, you're exactly who they're describing.
This matters even if you run a small business with no interest in a corporate role. Your business has the same problems. You have repetitive work that could be running without you. You already know which tasks those are.
That knowledge is the qualification. The people who understand their own work and direct AI well are the ones who stay ahead.
