Claude just got better for less

Anthropic just released something that makes Claude better and cheaper at the same time.

It's called the advisor strategy. Their most capable model, Opus, acts as an advisor. A cheaper model does all the actual work. When the cheaper model hits something it can't solve, it goes back to Opus for guidance. Opus sees the full picture. It advises. It doesn't run the tools directly.

In Anthropic's own tests, pairing Opus as advisor with Sonnet improved results across the board and came in cheaper per task than running Sonnet alone.

This is an API feature. Every app and tool built on top of Claude gets this baked in as developers roll it out.

What it means for your business: the tools you use today are about to get a quiet upgrade. Better outputs, without a price increase. You don't need a new product, a new workflow, or a new account.

Claude just got smarter and costs less to run. That's not a common sentence in tech.
