Breakdown

There are four versions of Claude. Most people are only using one of them.

Chat is the basic interface. You ask something, it answers, and it forgets you the moment you close the tab. It's the free tier most people start on and never leave.

Projects is where it gets genuinely useful for a business. You brief Claude once on a client, a project, or a business role, and every conversation after that has the context already built in. It connects to your tools and can keep working while you're in a meeting.

Claude Code takes action on your actual computer. Building tools for the business, yes, but also data processing and long, complex tasks that would otherwise take you hours of back-and-forth.

The design tools generate mockups for presentations, websites, or apps on demand.

The reason most business owners aren't getting the results they want from Claude is that they're using Chat for jobs that Projects was built to handle. Chat is fine for one-off answers. Projects is how you get Claude to know your business.

Start with Projects. Brief it on one client or one role. Connect it to one tool you already use. Give it a job it can run without you checking in.
