Nine in ten businesses using AI say headcount hasn't moved.

That's the British Chambers of Commerce survey from March. Over half of UK firms now use it. For most, it's ChatGPT or Copilot, drafting and summarising, supporting work that already exists.

Only one in ten built something bespoke. AI designed for that business and wired into how it runs.

The report's conclusion: the full productivity benefit only comes when AI is built into the structure and processes of a business.

That's the work I do. Your business written down in plain files, and AI team members that read those files and do one job each. They sit beside your people and take the repetitive work off their desks. Your people move up to the work customers pay for.

Anthropic's head of small business gave Forbes a cleaning company as the example. Scheduling automated, more cleanings a day, and more work for its cleaners.

Pick the one process your team repeats most often, and build AI into that first.
