I Built a Dashboard With Claude That Does My Admin Before I Ask

I used to start every Monday pulling my business numbers together. Now they're waiting when I sit down.

The difference is a local dashboard I built with Claude in one afternoon.

It pulls from Xero, my inbox, my calendar, and my client tracker. It runs as an HTML file on my laptop. Nothing to host, nothing to deploy. I described what I wanted once in a prompt, and it runs from that.

When an invoice goes more than thirty days unpaid, it drafts the chase email. When I commit to something in a meeting, it adds the task to Asana and starts the first draft. I described those behaviours once. The system handles them every time.

Getting AI to act on your business, rather than waiting for your next question, is the move I've been building toward for two years. This is what it looks like in practice.

Setting it up takes one session. Open Claude desktop, go to Claude Code, and pick a folder on your computer. Write a prompt describing every data source you want connected and every rule you want it to follow.

You stop being the one who coordinates everything.
