ChatGPT now works after you go home
3 November 2026

ChatGPT can now keep working on your business after you've gone home.
OpenAI calls them dots. Each one is an AI agent with its own computer and browser, and when it's idle it looks through the apps you've connected for work that needs doing, then brings you a suggestion.
Most small businesses I work with still use AI in the chat window. You type, it answers, and when you stop typing it stops working. The step up from that has been a scheduled task that runs the same steps at the same time every week. Anything more proactive meant setting up an open-source agent like OpenClaw, which was past most owners' comfort zone.
Dots, Claude Duet and Meta's Muse make that much simpler.
There's a catch if you're in Ireland or the UK. The personal Pro plan doesn't include dots yet, and Duet is a US waitlist for now. Every big AI tool is heading the same way, so I wouldn't rush to pay more for it.
Use the wait to pick the first job. The best one repeats, has a clear finish, and takes you two minutes to check.
Work out which job you'd leave running when you go home tonight.
