Stop explaining your business to AI

Now, whenever I sit down with any AI tool, I point it at that folder first. Claude reads it today. If something better turns up next year, it reads the same folder on day one.

Think of it as an employee handbook. Every new hire reads it before they touch anything. Your AI should do the same.

Some people solve this with memory features. They tell ChatGPT to remember things, and it does, but that memory lives inside that one tool. You leave, and that memory stays behind. A folder on your computer goes wherever you go.

Here is what to put in yours. One file for what your business does. One for who your customers are. One for your tone of voice. One for your pricing and packages. One for how you run projects. One for the questions your customers actually ask.

Write those six files this week. They do not need to be long. A paragraph each is enough. You will add to them as you go.

Your business context should live on your computer, not inside whichever app is popular this month. Write the folder. Point your next AI session at it. See what changes.
