I used to open three windows before I could write one client email.

Notes, to check what I'd promised. Drive, to find the proposal I'd sent. Gmail, to confirm what the client actually said in their last three messages. And after all that I'd still write the email from memory and get some detail wrong.

The hard part was never the writing, it was assembling the facts from three different apps without dropping one. I was the middle man carrying information between my own tools, and the middle man drops things. Every dropped detail turns into an awkward correction email later.

So I connected Gmail and Drive to Claude.

Now I give it one brief: read the last three emails from this client, open the proposal, then draft the update. It works through everything before it drafts a word.

Last week it caught a price I'd quoted a client back in June and completely forgotten about. That price was about to go into the new email wrong. Claude flagged it because it had read the whole thread and I hadn't.
