Give Claude a Project Brief Before Every Creative Session

Do This Now

No wonder your AI sounds nothing like you.

Most people using Claude for creative work start the same way. They type in a prompt, get a rubbish response, and move on, thinking AI will never work for me.

The problem is context. Claude doesn't know your audience. It doesn't know your content's goal, the tone you want, or how you say things.

Every session starts from scratch or relies on the random memories Claude or ChatGPT has gathered, so every prompt gets a generic answer. You rewrite it, try again, get frustrated, and end up doing it yourself. Most people skip the brief entirely and wonder why Claude keeps missing the mark.

Before I start any creative session in Claude now, I give it three things: who the audience is, the goal of the output, and two examples of content that already hit the right tone.

Claude knows what works on each of the platforms, but what it doesn't know is what works for you and your audience.

I ask for a LinkedIn post, and it's written in the right way for the right person. I ask for a caption, and it carries the tone.

I ask for a headline rewrite, and it already knows the context. I'm not re-explaining myself on every request.

If every content session in Claude leaves you rewriting the output heavily, this is the fix. Add a detailed Business DNA and Perfect Fit Client definition, and have Claude read it at the start of every session. Within a week your rewriting time drops by more than half. Posts, captions and headlines all come back closer to what you actually wanted.
