Claude is my social media spy
30 July 2026

You've been posting for months and you still can't say why one post landed and the next one died.
So every week you sit down and guess again.
You've heard the advice a hundred times. Study what works, model the accounts ahead of you. Doing that properly means opening forty posts, reading them slowly, and finding the pattern sitting underneath. That's an afternoon gone, and most people give up around post six.
I stopped doing it by hand.
I open Claude Cowork with the Claude in Chrome extension running, paste in a prompt with the account I want reviewed, and Claude takes over the browser. It clicks through the profile and reads the posts itself. A social media consultant would bill you by the hour for exactly this, and they'd still only get through a fraction of the posts.
What comes back is a report on the top videos, why they worked, the hooks they lean on, and the content patterns the account is built on.
Run it on the top three or four accounts in your niche, then point it at your own and ask it to compare. Claude builds a content plan out of the difference.
I did that this week. What came back was a list of the hooks they use that I don't, and the topics they cover every week that I touch once a month.
It was all sitting in public on their profiles the whole time, and I'd been scrolling past it for a year.
You're far better off taking what already works and making it yours than spending years reinventing the wheel.
Comment the word gaps and I'll send you the prompt.
