Claude edits your videos now

You've got video sitting on your phone that never makes it onto your business page, because editing it feels like a whole separate job. HeyGen just handed Claude Code the tools to do that job for you, for free.

The camera was never the problem. Recording a video on your phone takes two minutes. Learning a timeline, cutting clips, adding captions and building graphics, that's the part that stops people. Most owners record ten videos and post one, because the other nine never get past editing.

HeyGen, the AI avatar company, released a free skill called HyperFrames. A skill is a set of instructions Claude follows for a specific job, and this one teaches Claude Code how to edit video. You install it with one line, then you edit by chatting. Tell it to add captions in your style and it burns them into the footage. Tell it to recut your talking head clip and it tightens the whole thing up. Tell it to drop in a diagram when you explain something tricky and it builds the graphic and times it to your words.

I'm testing it on my own videos now. There's no timeline to scrub and no editing software to learn. You describe the edit in plain English, and Claude Code does the work. It's early, and you'll go back and forth a few times before an edit lands the way you want it.
