Better prompts won't fix your AI

Better prompts won't fix AI that doesn't know your business.
The answers it needs are still in your head, and every time your team hands it a job, it has to guess them.
How do we quote a job that doesn't fit the usual package? Is this client worth a discount? Can we promise it by Friday with the team already stretched?
Your team asks you those questions, and you answer from experience. When they hand the same job to AI, it rarely stops to ask. It makes a confident guess, and that guess goes straight to your customer.
A sharper prompt can't supply reasoning that was never written down anywhere.
So I have one rule: the second time I make the same call, it goes into a file with my answer and the reasons behind it, written the way I'd say it out loud.
Give that file to your AI and it works from your reasoning instead of guessing.
I had the same problem with years of advice I'd only ever given on coaching calls. I went back through 2,404 of those call transcripts. Pulling out the useful moments gave me 1,668 stories and lessons I'd been telling from memory.
A note on your phone and one rule is enough to start. When you catch yourself making a call you've made before, write down what you decided and why, straight away.
Within a month you'll have the first draft of the files your team and your AI both need.
Start today with the question you answered most this week.
